"Wild Scenery" by Stan Fontaine
The Fontaine's are an old New Orleans family dating back to the 19th century. Stan, the youngest of seven children, at age 14 began working on the Mississippi River as a longshoreman, and eventually became captain of the riverboat Choctaw. The sights and sounds of Louisiana are his subject matter, painted mostly from memory and imagery of his days on the river.
